The Italian & Italian studies department takes a holistic approach

Going beyond the classroom, Dickinson鈥檚 Italian & Italian studies program offers a deep look into what Rehoboth Gesese 鈥�17 calls 鈥渢he most beautiful of the Romance languages.鈥�

The program doesn鈥檛 stop at Italian as a language, however, delving into varied aspects of Italian culture as well. Professors lead students via a holistic approach, one through which the department sets out to 鈥渞e-create a piece of Italy,鈥� according to Nicoletta Marini-Maio, associate professor of Italian.

鈥淥nce I started taking classes, I fell in love with everything about it,鈥� says Ashton Fiucci 鈥�15, noting her professors鈥� enthusiasm as one of the driving forces behind the program. 鈥淭he department here is wonderful.鈥�
