As a mathematics major at Dickinson, you will join a vibrant and supportive community of learners, teachers and scholars. Our majors are accepted into highly competitive REUs (research experiences for undergraduates) and internships, present at professional conferences and participate in research projects that lead to publications with faculty members. The department hosts biweekly colloquia (Math & CS Chats); regular social functions such as all-ages happy hours, the Welcome Back BBQ and the Tome Tumbler; and the annual Major’s Dinner, at which we present awards and perform honor society inductions.
With a Dickinson mathematics foundation, our graduates have found success in many different careers. Each year, several students pursue graduate studies in mathematics and related fields, while others build outstanding careers as actuaries, consultants, scientists and educators.
