The history of Parmigiano Reggiano is presented in a former cheese factory where you find the ancient tools used for the production of milk such as the large copper bell boiler, the steam engine or the butter churn, and instruments collected in the production area of Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Bologna, and Mantua.
Two Ferrari museums exist within a 45 minute drive of Bologna.
The Modena museum is about Enzo Ferrari's life and early career, while Maranello is about Ferrari's factory history and racing achievements. The Maranello museum is larger and more comprehensive, covering more ground in terms of cars on display and historical context, but is less easily accessible by public transportation.

MARKET DAYS
On Fridays, Bologna offers a variety of market experiences. The Piazzola Market, a historic market with over 400 stalls, is open every Friday and Saturday in Piazza VIII Agosto, offering a wide range of goods from clothing and accessories to food and more. Additionally, smaller farmers' and neighborhood markets also operate on Fridays in different districts of the city.

On via Ugo Bassi 25. Designed in 1910 and reopened in 1949 this indoor market has several fruit and vegetables vendors, small grocery shops, and eating venues. Open 7am to 7:30pm Monday to Saturday, but also in the evenings for dinner until midnight.
